I am a twenty year old young woman; shy at first, but once comfortable, I talk far too much and am temperamental in my moods. I have a fairly realistic attitude about life, and am aware that things aren't handed out on a silver platter. I can come across as a cynic but deep down I hope for the best in all situations. I love to be in love and am a hopeless romantic.

I love to laugh and hang out with my close friends, yet I also revel in the luxury of time to myself. I am stubborn in my ways and don't like to back down in an argument. I like to see myself as independent and fiercely loyal. I am very analytical but wish I were better at expressing my creative side. I'm extremely tidy and organised; yet my major flaw is procrastination. I'm a night owl and find driving (when not in traffic) therapeutic. I have one tattoo, along with a tongue piercing and want more.

I see it as vitally important to be informed about the world today, and enjoy keeping up to date with current affairs, especially political happenings. I also find history absolutely fascinating, with specific interests in the diplomatic, political and social history of Britain, the US and Communist Russia and Eastern Europe. My favourite periods of history are the 1940s and 1960s, as I am drawn in by the social turmoil of both these eras. I am also enchanted by the film of both these eras, along with the glamorous design and fashions of 1930s & 40s Hollywood, mostly American Art Deco. I also have an obsession with studying the Cold War, Richard Nixon and Vietnam.

I am a major cinephile, and prefer dramatic and intelligent films. I have compiled a huge project of films I am working towards seeing, based around my interest in 1930s and 40s film noir along with art house flicks. I also love music and my taste is pretty wide ranging, though mostly centred around metal, 1980s-90s noise rock, post-punk, math metal and rock. I have a slight obsession with Bob Dylan also. I have played piano since I was aged eight and I'm trying to learn guitar, though its slow progress. I am trying to read more as I think it is an important aspect of life, finding the time however, is difficult.
